Registration opens January 7 for DC! WOMEN’S FOREIGN POLICY GROUP DC MENTORING FAIR (February 6, 6:00 pm) The Women’s Foreign Policy Group Annual Mentoring Fairs in Washington DC provide an opportunity for students and young professionals to meet with international affairs professionals and learn from their career experiences. Unlike a career fair, the focus is on entering and succeeding in your field as opposed to focusing on a specific job. You will be able to network informally in roundtable discussions with senior-level international affairs experts; learn about the skills required in the global job market; and listen to valuable advice and internship guidance. Fields represented will include: International development, NGOs, human rights, international law, international health, international business, U.S. Foreign Service, the UN, and communications. The registration fee for students is $10. Young professionals may attend for $25. Time and place: 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, February 6, The George Washington University Marvin Center, Grand Ballroom, 3rd Floor, 800 21st Street, NW. Registration is required and opens on January 7. Space is limited. Register on WFPG’s website: www.wfpg.org. Note: Experienced alums may register as mentors at the same link. |
