What are the policies of developed countries to address food security in developing countries? How effective are these policies? Learn more at a brown bag luncheon sponsored by the Association of Women In International Trade (WIIT). Panelists representing views of the U.S., EU, and NGOs will provide background and insight into the agricultural policies of the U.S. and EU and the impact of these policies on developing countries. The event features Darci Vetter, Deputy Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services, USDA; Giulio Menato, Agriculture Counselor, European Union Delegation to the U.S.; Garwain Kripke, Director of Policy and Research, Oxfam; and Eujenio Diaz-Bonila, Senior Fellow, International Food and Policy Research Institute. If you are interested in this topic, the event will be a great way to ask questions and to network with leaders in the field. Date and time: Thursday, March 28 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.
