UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME’S LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will be initiating a recruitment campaign to attract qualified young professionals through their Leadership Development Programme (LEAD). The LEAD Programme provides exciting opportunities to develop the experience, knowledge and skills of young professionals to serve as development practitioners and future leaders in UNDP. UNDP is seeking talented and motivated students and graduates from around the world who have a strong commitment to development to join its Leadership Development Programme (LEAD) in late 2010. To be eligible for the Programme individuals must have an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in development studies, economics, social sciences, business administration or a related discipline; at least five (5) years of experience relevant to the work of UNDP; and proficiency in English and at least one other UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) or Portuguese. Candidates should ideally be under the age of 35 years at the point of application. The application period will be open from November 1 – 30 2009.
