Details Georgetown University’s Department of Government would like to cordially invite you to the William V. O’Brien Lecture on International Law and Morality on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Established by the School of Foreign Service and the Department of Government, the lecture was intended to honor Dr. O’Brien for his many years of valuable service to Georgetown University. Dr. O’Brien’s scholarship on war, morality and the legal dimensions of international affairs has gained him international recognition. This year, Former General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Navy, Alberto J. Mora, will deliver the Lecture. Mora has been distinguished with the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for his steadfast commitment to American values and criticism of cruel and unlawful detention and interrogation policies.
