'What It Takes to Succeed in Consulting:
Essential Communication Skills'

Thursday, February 7, 2013
12:00pm- 1:00pm EST

Successful consultants need to master a set of skills – especially the ability to think critically and analytically as well as show leadership. Above all, however, good communication skills allow consultants to obtain information, collaborate and share their findings with colleagues and clients. According to Susan Stehlik, one of the presenters on this webinar, “Managing the communication touchpoints in a process will frequently be the deciding factor for success.'
Susan is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Management Communication at New York University's Stern School of Business and the CEO of Prime Time Ideas, Inc., a management training and consulting company she founded in 1997. Susan teaches a successful - and for our audience very relevant - course called 'Communication for Consultants.' Joining her on the webinar will be Mark Goodburn, KPMG’s Global Head of Advisory. Using concrete examples, he will share how communication has been an integral skill for his own success and the success of the consultants who comprise his firm.
This webinar is intended for students and future consultants who want to understand more fully the importance of good communication skills and how they can improve and refine this skill as they prepare themselves for successful careers in consulting.
