All Other Performances: General $15, GU staff/faculty/alumni/seniors (over 65) $12, students $7. Everything you are about to see and hear is true. Except the parts that aren’t. Produced in partnership with the American Studies Program. Co-created by Visiting Professor Rohd, - Founding Artistic Director of Sojourn Theater, Portland, Oregon - one of the nation’s leading practitioners of civic-theater, with students and professional guest artists from Sojourn and the DC area. The Race is a living piece of ethno-fiction, a suspenseful tall tale and a civic theater process engaging with the issues and dynamics of the 2008 Presidential election as it moves towards its dramatic conclusion. Who will vote for who? Who won’t? Why? The Race follows the Presidential election through a historic Fall leading up to November 4th, and, as it opens before election night and continues to play after the votes are tallied, this unique, responsive performance event finds ways across campus and the larger DC community to ask - What does leadership mean today? |
