Running time: Approx 2 hours – w/ 10 minute intermission Launching an ongoing partnership between Georgetown University’s Theater and Performance Studies Program and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, this ensemble-driven production breathes new life into Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, beloved for generations. As he chronicles the daily activities of residents in the fictional small town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, Wilder reveals the meaning in the mundane, the extraordinariness of our ordinary lives. GU faculty member Sarah Marshall and Theater and Performance Studies Program Director Derek Goldman co-direct this fresh and innovative interpretation of an American classic.
