Department of Performing Arts Georgetown University presents A Rose of Such Virtue Modern Settings of Ancient Texts Featuring Georgetown University Chamber Singers Music Director: Frederick Binkholder Accompanist: Jennifer Jackson Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 8:15 PM Location: Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart – Georgetown University Campus – Healy Quad. Ticket Prices: Free and open to the public. Running time: One hour – no intermission. The Chamber Singers take a brief departure from their established authentic performance of the masterworks of the Medieval and Renaissance to explore inspired choral settings of ancient texts from 20th century choral composers such as Poulenc, Tavener, Villette, and Bloch. Appropriate for all ages. Translations will be included in the program.
