A collaboration between Georgetown University Music Program in the Dept of Performing Arts and American Opera Theater. American Opera Theater is proud to bring to Georgetown one of America’s most renowned sopranos: Sylvia McNair. The two-time Grammy Award winner comes to Washington, DC in SONGSPIEL, a new AOT production designed just for her. SONGSPIEL combines Kurt Weill’s most famous songs into a soul-searching exploration a struggling nation's pains and triumphs. In this hard hitting and powerful production, the splendor of McNair’s voice and Weill’s music blend together in a tale of one woman's confrontation with homelessness and economic crisis. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience one of the opera world’s greatest artists up close and personal.

Parking: Street parking is available or patrons may park (for a fee) in the Leavey Center (entrance on Reservoir Road) or SWQ parking facilities (enter via Canal Road). There is Free on- campus parking on weekends.
