Georgetown University Dept of Performing Arts, Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Georgetown and Ritmo y Sabor Present Posada Annual Winter Performance Written, Conceived and Adapted by the Students of Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Georgetown & Ritmo y Sabor Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 8:00 pm Location: Walsh Black Box Theatre, Walsh Building (corner of 36th & Prospect Sts, NW across from the Tombs.) Ticket Prices: General: $4 Student $3 Purchase Tickets: With credit card on-line at: http://performingarts.georgtown.edu/boxoffice Or at Davis Center Box Office; Call: 202/687-ARTS Must present picture ID and proof of faculty, staff, senior or student. Running time: approximately 1 hour (no intermission) Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Georgetown’s annual winter showcase, Posada, celebrates the coming Christmas season with dances from across Mexico. The show will incorporate traditional Folkloric Mexican dances, a guest performance from Ritmo y Sabor, and collaborations between Ritmo and Ballet. Special Notes: Appropriate for all ages. All of the music and names of the dances are in Spanish. Parking: Street parking is available or patrons may park (for a fee) in the Leavey Center (entrance on Reservoir Road) or SWQ parking facilities (enter via Canal Road). There is Free on- campus parking on weekends. |
