Georgetown University Department of Performing Arts Music Program Presents “Lost and Found” A Concert of Songs Performed by Kevin Bender, tenor Departmental Advisor and Accompanist: Professor Paul Heins Featuring: Violinist Justin Stilwell (Yale University ’09) and Georgetown Student Vocalists Caitlin Cassidy, mezzo-soprano (COL’ 10) Sarah Holzschuh, mezzo-soprano (COL ’10) Richard Trent, baritone (COL ’10) Time and Date: Saturday, December 5th at 1:30 pm Location: McNeir Auditorium Tickets: Admission is free! Doors will open at 1:00 pm. Running time: 55 minutes (no intermission) Kevin Bender, a senior in the College studying both Theatre and Voice, presents this performance as the culmination of a semester-long independent study. Bender will lead the audience through this program, diverse in style and genre, featuring (but not limited to) works by Samuel Barber, Giovanni Battista Bononcini, William Finn, Peter Lerman, Stephen Schwartz, Lucy Simon, and Stephen Sondheim. Through the performance of different characters, the program will take up the following question: What circumstances and life experiences lead us to feel lost, found, or a little of both? Come and enjoy this free performance of broad-ranging music performed by a Georgetown student! Special Notes: Brief adult language. Parking: Street parking is available or patrons may park (for a fee) in the Leavey Center (entrance on Reservoir Road) or SWQ parking facilities (enter via Canal Road). There is free on-campus parking on weekends. |
