Georgetown University Department of Performing Arts Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society Dept of Facilities Management Georgetown University Catering Auxiliary Services Human Resources Presents The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Celebration With Mask & Bauble Performing Dickens’ Classic: ‘A Christmas Carol” Friday, December 4, 2009 from 5-7p.m. 5pm: Tree Lighting at 5pm followed by singing holiday songs. 6pm: Dickens’ Classic: “A Christmas Carol” Location: Dahlgren Quadrangle, behind Healy Hall (this is an outdoors presentation!) FREE!!!!!! Running time: Singing: 1 hour; Show: 45 minutes Join President John DeGioia, the best of the GU Campus A Cappella groups, the Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society and SANTA in this growing tradition of celebrating the season, the semester and each other! All faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends are cordially invited as hot drinks and snacks will be provided. A Christmas Carol: With their annual heartwarming rendition of the Dickens' classic, Mask and Bauble brings Christmas cheer to Hoyas young and old. Immediately after the Christmas Tree Lighting, come experience the true meaning of Christmas and celebrate with free hot cocoa, Tiny Tim, Scrooge, the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future, and all your favorite characters. Special Notes: Dress warmly as Santa will be joining in the festivities; perfect for children and adults. Bring you best singing voice and join in!!! Parking: Street parking is available or patrons may park (for a fee) in the Leavey Center (entrance on Reservoir Road) or SWQ parking facilities (enter via Canal Road). There is Free on- campus parking on weekends. |
