Details A Night of One-Act Plays
featuring Liars Club and Coax by Neil LaBute
Directed by Brendan Quinn (COL ’14)
Un-f**king-believable by John Behlmann and
Waiting for Philip Glass by Wendy Wasserstein
Directed by Hannah Hauer-King (COL ’14)
Produced by Renn Andrews (COL ’12)

The short plays featured in this show examine the idea that all human interactions involve performance. Liars Club and Coax by Neil LaBute challenge an audience to exercise agency in situations that are ambiguously performative or not. Un-f**king-believable by John Behlmann examines communication and truth-telling in a romantic relationship. In Waiting for Philip Glass, written by Wendy Wasserstein and inspired by Shakespeare’s sonnet 94, a socialite throws a benefit for the composer, Philip Glass. When he fails to show up on time, the other guests are forced to mingle and examine their own lives.

Thursday-Saturday, January 19-21 at 8 p.m.
Sunday, January 22 at 4 p.m.
Wednesday-Saturday January 25-28 at 8 p.m.
