Launch: GEORGETOWN INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY (February 20, 4:00 pm) This event will be introduced by Georgetown President John DeGioia and feature remarks by Melanne Verveer, Executive Director-Designate, GIWPS and U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, and SFS Dean Carol Lancaster. A panel discussion will follow featuring Moderator Tina Brown, Editor, Newsweek/The Daily Beast, Zin Mar Aung, Burmese political activist and recipient of International Women of Courage Award, Donald Steinberg, Deputy Administrator, USAID, and Claudia Paz-y-Paz, Attorney General of Guatemala. When and where: Wednesday, February 20 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, Lohrfink Auditorium, Rafik Hariri Building. A reception will follow from 5:45 to 6:45 pm in Salons F & H, Leavey Center.
