Description
This workshop will examine the relationship between Islam and scientific developments throughout history. The workshop will include a special demonstration on the manufacture and use of the astrolabe.

**Following the demonstration, there will be a session for K-12 educators conducted by Susan Douglass, Education Consultant for the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. This session will introduce maps, online resources, primary sources, and lesson plans related to the scientific developments of the Islamic world.
