Former Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Robert Kimmitt, speaks on leadership as part of the McDonough School of Business Distinguished Leaders Series. He currently is a senior international counsel with WilmerHale.

Ambassador Kimmitt served through the end of the George W. Bush administration, leaving office on January 20, 2009. He also served as Acting Secretary of the Treasury following John W. Snow's resignation. Previously Ambassador Kimmitt had served as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs until 1991. He served from 1991 to 1993 as United States Ambassador to Germany and was awarded the U.S. Defense Department Distinguished Public Service Award as well as Germany’s Order of Merit.
